                                                                                         The Benefits of A Smile

                                                                                    Written by Karah Raphaelita   Newton
                                                                                    Dedicated to Cecelia Robinson Wilcox

                                                                                                               July 17, 2013

So many times, as individuals we are wrapped up in our own cares.
For the most part, we view many of our everyday contacts as invisible people.
Some examples may be the person at the check out line, the gas station attendant.
We can go on and on. However, I believe that you get the picture.

I once read a quote by an unknown author.“ A smile can brighten the darkest day.”
When I am doing my daily boring errands, I make a sincere effort to keep this quote in mind.
Even when I am at work and under stress I keep this quote in the back of my mind.

These nameless people who serve us are human, someone's daughter, son, mother, father,
                                  aunt, cousin, or neighbor.

A smile, with hello, can make a tremendous positive impact on someone's day. Not to mention that
at that moment you are just not another customer in front of that worker, but a caring person.
Smiling, and saying hello may even encourage that worker to give his or her best service.
Try it. Do not be surprised at the positive result you may get. Signing out with warm smile.
Not to mention that when we smile it enhances our looks.  Now, everyone likes to look better...
                             Smile, you are looking great,.

A Single Raindrop released from the sky
In its downward trajectory,
Join forces with millions more
To create showers that refresh the earth that’s home to us all.

What is it about the single raindrop that makes it so special?
It is unique…
Just like you.

Like the solitary raindrop, you are a power of one.
Working in unity, we are an unstoppable force.
With the Creator’s help, together, we can move mountains.

To the Alpha and Omega, I pray
That, day by day, in your uniqueness you may grow
And embrace the mighty power of working together, as one,
In the shining example of the Single Raindrop.
